Cool video about satin fabric, take a look:

zanandrob.com This can be done on any hair type- naturally curly, coily, straight, relaxed etc. My hair is texlaxed. This braidout involved using 3 cornrows, and my unconventional satin scarf method. I am still getting used to blunt cut hair, so braiding the ends is kind of a challenge. With that being said, if I didn’t use the satin fabric, I don’t know how I’d get my braids to stay- so I guess it works out. I explain the satin fabric method in detail on my website. It’s too much to keep explaining. I’ll be doing more braidout videos using different methods in the future. Stay tuned. Enjoy :)

Hey,
This should definitely work with shoulder length hair. If you are concerned that it won’t come out right your first time around, try it on a weekend or when you have time to experiment.

opppps . I meant shoulder length

Will this braidout be successful w/ shorter hair? Shorter like shorter length when straightened ? I want to try this but I don’t want it coming out ugly … lol

I love the music!!! how do you braid in the scarf? that’s a great idea.

By ZanAndRob on March 23rd, 2010 at 6:47 am

You only have one “Satin” scarf you mean. lol.
You can use any satiny or silky fabric you have lying around, it doesn’t have to be from a scarf. I had an old polyester slip that I cut up to make extra pieces.

I would try that, but I only have one satan scarf.

Thanx. I don’t mind sharing, it’s the least I can to help out my sistahs. I like to see our women walking around with gorgeous hair :)

When you try the braidout, let me know how it goes.
