What do you put on a chocolate stain on white Rayon fabric that’s already set in?

By raysmithtx · Friday, August 27th, 2010

A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend accidently got a small drop of chocolate on a brand new Rayon blend shirt. The area of the shirt now stained is white. It was a few days before he showed it to me so I didn’t have time to treat it before it set in. Can this shirt be saved and if so what can I put on it? I tried pre treating it with liquid laundry detergent (this normally works), but having difficulties with this one.

get a little drop of paint thinner on a toothpick dab it on the fabric
( lol heres a good place to use a magnifying glass) and let it set 5 min.
then take ordinary soap and scrub gently with yet another tooth pick ….rinse and hold it up to a light. If its gone wash as usual.. if not ….do it over. It is possible to rub a hole in the fabric… so be gentle. Its a lot of work but you will be a star if you can get it out!

Paint thinner will not dissolve chocolate.

I think you may be screwed. But if you don’t mind taking a risk, OxiClean it. It may be too strong for rayon though.

Bob’s right, a patch is your only option.
