What material (fabric or yarn) is used to make this….?

By raysmithtx · Friday, August 27th, 2010

I found these crocheted kitchen “scrubbers” in a novelty gift shop…and the material makes a perfect scratcher for scrubbing pots, pans and all around house hold needs. Anyhow…I want to make them…but I can’t find the material…Any ideas???

well, we might need a pic or something to go on!

Otherwise, i’d say that you can use any flexible metal wire to crochet or knit with. I’ve seen sites where people knit or crochet bracelets and necklaces out of a thin gauge of wire.

I would use a very rough yarn. Find a sort of craft yarn that isn’t very soft and maybe do a popcorn stitch to make variations in it. Just find the coursest material and the sturdiest.
